Irving Institute Welcomes New Staff, Research Fellows, and Scholar

Over the past several months, the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society has welcomed new staff members, research fellows, and a scholar with backgrounds across energy, economics, public health, and higher education. These talented professionals have stepped into roles strengthening our teaching and learning, research, and engagement efforts—all central to the Institute's mission of accelerating an affordable, reliable, and equitable clean energy transition for the benefit of society.

"This exciting growth was catalyzed by the approval of our 2030 strategic plan, developed with input from leaders across A&S, Thayer, and Tuck," said Faculty Director Geoff Parker. "We are grateful for the broad support for our mission, vision, and initiatives like the Master of Energy Transition. We are thrilled to welcome more talented team members committed to expanding learning, advancing research, and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy."

Along with Derek Walker being appointed Executive Director and Giulia Siccardo joining as a Distinguished Industry Fellow, we welcome eight new team members—six bringing fresh perspectives and two filling critical vacancies—expanding our capacity to serve as a leading source for energy transition insights, groundbreaking research, and transformative education.

"Since joining the Institute in March, I've been deeply inspired by the passion and expertise of our team," said Executive Director Derek Walker. "Each new colleague brings unique skills and insights—and a wealth of professional and life experiences—that will help us develop collaborative initiatives and drive meaningful progress in the transition to clean energy."
