The Summit will take place June 22-25, 2025 at the Irving Institute in Hanover, NH. Accepted applicants receive full reimbursement for approved travel and lodging expenses.
Who should apply: New Energy Summit participants are early-career scholars (advanced PhD student, postdoc, or assistant professor) focused on topics in energy and climate, with a strong interest in building their capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration. Scholars from all disciplines–natural science, technology, humanities, art, health and medicine, social sciences, policy and law–and more are welcome and encouraged to apply! The deadline to apply is March 17, 2025. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 1, 2025.
The mission of the New Energy Summer Summit is to increase the capacity of early-stage energy and climate researchers to accelerate transitions to equitable and sustainable energy systems and a healthy climate via interdisciplinary scholarship and collaboration.

Since 2022, New Energy Summits have hosted a total of 58 scholars from 41 universities inside and outside the US for three days of lightning talks, breakout groups, lectures, workshops, and networking. The 2025 New Energy Summer Summit will sustain the event's characteristic intimacy among a multidisciplinary cohort of early-career peers, while expanding opportunities for professional development and mentorship from senior scholars and practitioners.
