Opportunity: RMI Associate / Senior Associate - Global Methane Solutions

The Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is looking for a full-time Associate / Senior Associate - Global Methane Solutions.

This role is focused on a tricky energy transition problem: Energy transitions aren't instantaneous, and natural gas is and will continue to be a key part of our energy system for some time (at least in a few challenging sectors and geographies). However, natural gas is primarily made up of methane, a greenhouse gas 84 times more potent than CO2, and its supply chain leaks. A lot. We're working to highlight, through market mechanisms and big data, that natural gas can and needs to be better (emit less methane upstream of its end use) in order to justify its near-term role in the energy transition. This person will be working to support the scaling of a global methane emissions standard for natural gas that we've been developing over the past year.

Here's the job posting; here's a recent insight brief that gives more context as to why we're doing what we're doing in and around the oil and gas industry.

RMI is also hiring for some other roles in case this one isn't up your alley!
