Megan Litwhiler is the Assistant Director of Academic Programs for the Irving Institute for Energy and Society at Dartmouth. With over a decade of experience producing innovative educational programs and science communication training programs, Megan works closely with the Academic Director to help lead the development and implementation of the Institute's curricular, co-curricular, and professional development programs. She heads multiple signature programs for the Institute including the New Energy Summer Summit and TuckLAB: Energy and co-leads administration of the Master of Energy Transition.

Previously, Megan managed multiple grant-funded projects at the Museum of Science, Boston, partnering with researchers at Harvard and MIT to develop current science and technology content for the Museum and leading science communication training programs to facilitate interdisciplinary scholarship and help researchers connect with public audiences.

Megan holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BA in Psychology from Keene State College. Outside the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her family in their home state of Vermont, bird-watching, and horseback riding with her daughter.
