Biography
J. Drake Hamilton is Science Policy Director at the nonprofit Fresh Energy, where she is an expert in climate and energy policy at the state and federal levels. Her professional work secures advancements in deep decarbonization policy, building partnerships with business, government, and NGOs to secure nation-leading carbon reductions that benefit all. She serves on the Board of Directors of the United States Climate Action Network.
Prior to joining Fresh Energy in 1996, Hamilton was assistant professor of geography at The George Washington University. J. grew up in the Hudson River Valley of New York; she earned her A.B. at Dartmouth in geography and her M.A. from the University of Minnesota, in physical geography with concentrations on climatology and civil engineering.
