On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, alum William Kamkwamba '14, Environmental Studies Professor Andrew Friedland, and Dartmouth students Max Holden '22 and Sophie Neuhaus '20 participated in a live-stream discussion about the film "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind," which tells the story of how, at age 13, William built a windmill to help his drought-stricken village in Malawi. Provost Joseph Helble introduced the talk, which the Irving Institute co-sponsored with the Hopkins Center for the Arts as part of its spring #smallscreenfun series.
