On Wednesday, April 22 at 8 p.m. EDT, Dartmouth alumnus Dan Kalafatas '96 will be the first guest of the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society's new "Alumni Sparks" energy careers series. The series, which will take place weekly throughout the spring term via Zoom, invites Dartmouth alumni who have pursued careers in the energy sector to talk about how they got to where they are, how COVID-19 has impacted their sector, and answer questions from students considering careers in energy.
Dan is co-founder and chairman of 3Degrees, which provides renewable energy and emission reduction solutions to global Fortune 500 companies, utilities, and other organizations that want to join the fight against climate change. A native of Maynard, MA, he graduated with a B.A. in Economics with Honors from Dartmouth College and an MBA with a Certificate in Public Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a member of the Irving Institute advisory board.
