[more]Students eager to explore careers in renewable energy, environmental justice, sustainable investing, and related fields had a fantastic opportunity to connect with professionals on May 19th during the Careers in Energy and Sustainability: Meet and Greet event. Hosted collaboratively by the Irving Institute and Dartmouth Sustainability, the event brought together students from all majors and graduate programs to engage with experts working at the forefront of the environmental and energy sectors.
[more]Accelerating an affordable, reliable, and equitable clean energy future requires innovation and collaboration across disciplines. That's why the Irving Institute launched a new Graduate Energy Fellows program for the 2024–2025 academic year. This new initiative brought together a curious cohort of master's and PhD students from diverse fields such as engineering, data science, public health, and Earth sciences—fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
[more]On May 16th, the Irving Institute hosted its final Faculty Seminar for the 2024-2025 academic year. We extend our gratitude to professors Yan Li and Vikrant Vaze, whose insightful and inspiring presentations brought this year's series to a close. Professor Li explored the engineering of materials that harness environmental vibrations to generate usable energy, which can power a range of applications from tiny medical devices to smart cities.
