Below, you can learn more about the professionals who will be available to share their career story, provide insights into their work, and offer advice.
With a background in sports & IT, Richard now focuses on helping energy firms raise capital.
Tyson has over 12 years in site origination, program management, construction and sales of solar and storage across US markets.
He previously worked as a Managing Director, Site Acquisition at Bluewave, Senior Renewable Specialist with Colorado Springs Utilities, and Director of Operations at Sunlight Solar Energy.
He holds a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Cornell University and a M.S. in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Karin oversees the research and implementation of Clean Yield Asset Management's alternative and community investments. Areas of focus include regenerative agriculture, sustainable forestry, renewable energy, social justice, and racial equity. Karin's career has taken her from farming to finance to financing farming. This field-to-boardroom experience brings a distinct perspective to the conversation.
Karin started her career in sustainable investing in 1997 as a social research intern at Trillium Asset Management while pursuing her master's at Tufts University. After graduation, she spent 10 years with KLD Research & Analytics, growing the first family of ESG Indexes (now MSCI ESG Indexes) to more than 30 with $11 billion licensed in AUM. From 1994 to 1997, Karin served as a livestock production volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Ecuador.
Karin currently serves on the board of VELCO, the Vermont Electric Company, and as a Trustee of the Vermont Land Trust. A recovering endurance athlete, Karin now enjoys commuting by e-Bike, CrossFit, telemark skiing and Nordic speed skating. She lives on her 50-acre farm in Etna, NH.
She holds a B.A. in international relations from Kenyon College and an M.A.L.D. in economics and environmental policy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Dana started his career working in restorative justice in California, where he supervised youth performing community service in lieu of incarceration. This program was a way to keep youth out of jail, provide them with work experience, and connect them with other services. During this time, he earned a teaching certification. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY and taught for four years, one year in a public school and three years in a vocational school, where he developed a course that taught students to weatherize homes. From there, he moved to Massachusetts and worked for five years as an energy auditor/HERS rater, performing energy audits on residential homes. He then moved to Hartford to become the Town's Environmental Sustainability Coordinator.
Rick provides consulting services for corporations and startups in advanced materials and energy markets.
Kevin Geiger is one of the most senior planners in Vermont, having worked in regional planning for over 80 towns in Vermont since 1990. He specializes in land use planning and regulation, brownfield assessment, water quality, housing, climate change, and emergency management. He has presented at the municipal, regional, state, and national levels. He is an adept facilitator, Certified Flood Manager, a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and has an MS in Resource Management and Administration from Antioch New England Graduate School and a BA in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic.
Nancy has been an attorney with Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC in VT and NH for 30 years, mostly as partner and director, and Vice Chair of the Energy and Telecommunications Group, and currently Of Counsel working part-time.
Nancy provides strategic direction and advice to national and regional energy generation and transmission providers; renewable energy companies; and telecommunications, cable television, wireless and VoIP companies on regulatory, siting and agreement matters, and acquisition and financing transactions.
Before joining DRM, Nancy was Special Counsel at the VT Dept. of Public Service, responsible for policy matters and litigation before the VT Public Utility Commission (and other agencies). Previously, Nancy practiced corporate and securities law at Ropes & Gray in Boston, MA and Washington, DC.
Jamie researches a wide range of energy topics. She has past industry experience in geothermal, and often does topics related to geothermal, ground source heat pumps, building heating, and also has projects on batteries, electrical grids, solar, generators, hydropower, and other technologies. She does both modeling and hands-on testing. With a broad role, she writes many funding proposals for her research.
Giulia Siccardo is an experienced professional in the energy, automotive, and sustainability sectors. As the former Director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Manufacturing & Energy Supply Chains (MESC), she was responsible for awarding tens of billions of dollars in government investments to strengthen and secure U.S. manufacturing capacity and workforce development, as well as administering the Defense Production Act for critical energy technologies. Her scope included batteries, hydrogen, heat pumps, solar, transmission, and zero-emission materials, among other technologies. Siccardo helped launch the Mapping, Modeling, and Analysis Consortium (MMAC), a partnership between MESC and DOE's National Labs to further strategic energy supply chain analysis for DOE, the National Security Council, and other interagency and allied partner organizations.
Siccardo was previously a Partner at McKinsey & Company, leading McKinsey's Green Growth work. For over a decade there, she focused on scaling low-carbon systems and value chains across major corporations and emerging start-ups, covering zero-emissions energy, vehicles, and materials. In addition to her scale-up work, Siccardo fostered new ways for corporations to work together to signal demand for emerging clean energy technology. While with McKinsey, she co-founded Frontier, a $1B+ advance market commitment by industry-leading corporations to catalyze high-permanence carbon dioxide removals.
Siccardo previously worked at Adobe on clean energy procurement and data center decarbonization. Throughout her career, she's been recognized for her leadership in advancing women in the energy, automotive & sustainability sectors.
Born in California, Siccardo holds a dual B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Heidi is a staff attorney at the Conservation Law Foundation, working in the Clean Air & Water and Environmental Justice programs. Heidi advocates for clean air and water across New Hampshire, including working closely with CLF's Waterkeeper to protect the health of the Great Bay estuary. She also works on initiatives to address childhood lead poisoning and is helping to expand CLF's Environmental Justice program in New Hampshire to address the disparate impact of environmental problems. Before joining CLF, Heidi worked in private practice for over a decade as an environmental attorney and litigator. Her work ranged from the siting and developing of renewable energy projects to groundbreaking PFAS class action lawsuits in federal courts. Heidi holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. cum laude in Government from Dartmouth College. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York and Ohio. Heidi is the President of the Board of the Hanover Conservancy.
Mike serves as the head of development for BlueWave Energy, a solar and energy storage IPP.
