Dr. Kira Lawrence D'96 is the Senior Policy Advisor for the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), working collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams to develop novel energy policy to inform the fossil to clean energy transition in New Jersey. Prior to serving in this role, Dr. Lawrence worked in BPU's Division of Clean Energy as a Senior Scientist and the environmental lead for BPU's offshore wind program as well as briefly serving as the Acting Deputy Director for Offshore Wind. 

While at Dartmouth, Kira majored in Earth Sciences and was a member of the Dartmouth Women's Basketball Team that won Ivy Champions (1994, 1995). She played Ultimate Frisbee while graduate Brown.
