Summary

Purpose

The Irving Institute supports 1–2 year projects that advance research and scholarship in energy, climate, sustainability, health, and society. We look for projects that align with the mission, vision, and/or the three research pillars of the Irving Institute.

These 1–2 year projects aim to:

  • Seed or accelerate research and scholarship
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration

Awards are competitive and reviewed by Dartmouth faculty and researchers.

Eligibility

  • Open to all Dartmouth faculty, staff, and postdocs (with faculty mentor letter)
  • Interdisciplinary, multi-departmental teams strongly encouraged
  • Outside collaborators may be included but cannot be funded
