Kate Salamido

Experiential Learning Coordinator

As the Institute's Experiential Learning Coordinator, Kate supports the Irving Institute's curricular and co-curricular programs, including Energy 101, Energy Bootcamps, Energy Immersion Trips, energy-related courses (such as ENVS 12: Energy and the Environment), and the Energy and Sustainability Careers program. Kate graduated from Dartmouth in 2019 with a major in Earth Sciences. While at Dartmouth, Kate completed a Senior Honors Thesis in Earth Sciences and worked as a student intern for the Sustainability Office for four years, where her projects spanned campus operations, program evaluation, food and farming, and more! Kate is passionate about teaching inside and outside the classroom, science-based climate policy, and fermented foods. In her free time, Kate can be found zipping around the Upper Valley on her bike or a pair of Nordic skis.
