Five Irving Institute Faculty Affiliates were among the 42 faculty members who were recently awarded with 2024 Dartmouth Teaching awards for their teaching, scholarship, and work with students.
The awards honor their contributions to the university, including their extraordinary achievements as teachers, scholars, and mentors.
"This year's faculty award recipients demonstrate the profound dedication to teaching and research that Dartmouth so strongly values," says Provost David Kotz '86. "Their commitment to students and their impactful scholarship resonate throughout the institution, their fields of study, and beyond."
Congratulations to Institute Affiliates:
Marisa Palucis, Associate Professor of Earth Sciences, who received the Karen E. Wetterhahn Memorial Award for Distinguished Creative or Scholarly Achievement, awarded to a newly tenured faculty member with outstanding scholarship.
Geoffroy Hautier, Hodgson Family Professor of Engineering, who received the Thayer School of Engineering Distinguished Research Award for Faculty, honoring scholarly achievements that demonstrate notable discoveries or research accomplishments through publication, citation, or issued patents.
Yan Li, Assistant Professor of Engineering, who received the Thayer Diversity and Inclusion Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership, commitment, and efforts to raise awareness for and address issues of equity and inclusion at Thayer.
Klaus Keller, Hodgson Distinguished Professor of Engineering, and Vikrant Vaze, Stata Family Career, Development Associate Professor of Engineering, and Faculty Director, Master of Engineering Management Program, both of whom received Thayer's Outstanding Service Award for Faculty, which honors faculty members for their service and dedication that have enhanced the quality of our education, research, and community.
