Joe Bafumi Receives Guarini Award

Dartmouth College's Office of the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Sciences recently announced that 14 faculty members had been recognized for exceptional achievement in scholarship, teaching, and mentoring for 2020. Among the awardees was Joseph Bafumi, associate professor of government, who received the Frank J. Guarini Award for Extraordinary Contribution to Off-Campus Programs.

Professor Bafumi was an integral partner with the Irving Institute, the Guarini Institute for International Education, and the Russian Department in helping design and build the new foreign study program in government or energy in Russia, which was set to send 16 Dartmouth students to Russia in summer 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic made travel impossible.
