Critical Minerals, Energy Security, and the Energy Supply Chain

The energy transition has exposed deep vulnerabilities in the supply chains that underpin it — from critical minerals concentrated in geopolitically sensitive regions to domestic manufacturing capacity that requires significant investment to scale. Development of data center demand accelerates the need for diverse energy sources. Aligning timelines between demand and supply is dependent on the approval and building of new energy generating sources like nuclear. How can such long lead time projects be shortened? This panel brings supply chain and security experts together with leading scholars to examine how we can build more resilient energy supply chains, and what role emerging technologies may play in redefining energy security.
