Join us for "Law and Democracy: The United States at 250" with Pete Buttigieg, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation. Secretary Buttigieg will be the Dartmouth Rockefeller Center's 2025-26 Class of 1930 Named Fellow. The Class of 1930 Fellowship was established by the members of the class to continue the tradition begun by President Ernest Martin Hopkins of bringing distinguished men and women to campus for brief visits.
The conversation will be moderated by John Carey, John Wentworth Professor in the Social Sciences and Professor of Government; Interim Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; Herschel Nachlis, Senior Associate Director and Senior Policy Fellow, Rockefeller Center, and Research Assistant Professor of Government; and Lucia Vitali '26, Vice Chair of New Hampshire College Democrats and as Executive Director of the Dartmouth College Democrats.
This program is cosponsored by the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth, Dartmouth Dialogues, the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society, the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Office of the Associate Dean for the Social Sciences.
