The 28th Annual Karen E. Wetterhahn Science Symposium will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in the Class of 1978 Life Sciences Center. The Wetterhahn Science Symposium showcases undergraduate research at Dartmouth. Dartmouth places high value on undergraduates' involvement in inquiry-based research. Faculty, graduate students, campus administrators, undergraduates, friends and family gather to hear about cutting edge research from the invited keynote speaker and to interact with the student researchers about their work. High school science teachers are invited to bring their students to expand their educational horizons and aspirations. The 2019 Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Paulina Jaramillo, Associate Professor, Engineering & Public Policy & CMU Africa, Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Jaramillo's talk is entitled Energy for Development in a Carbon-Constrained World: A Researcher’s Story. The keynote address will take place in Oopik Auditorium, Class of 1978 Life Science Center. Immediately following the keynote address, students will present posters of their research in rooms throughout the Class of 1978 Life Sciences Center.
