Read MoreJess is an Environmental Studies major. She traveled to Appalachia with the 2018 Energy Immersion Trip to West Virginia, which sparked her interest in acid mine drainage mitigation. She worked with Professor Ulrike Wegst in Engineering on a follow up research project investigating how biomaterials could be used to improve water quality.
